Liverpool strip out contractors — who we are and how we work

We're a Liverpool-based strip out crew working out of Edge Lane, and Liverpool is where the majority of our work happens. That matters more than it sounds: we know which streets you can't get a grab lorry down, which blocks need a lift booking and a porter's permission before anything leaves the flat, and which landlords want photographic evidence at handover. Local knowledge is what keeps a fixed price fixed.

Every job starts with a site survey rather than a guess over the phone. We walk the property, agree exactly what comes out and what stays, note access and parking restrictions, then issue a written fixed price. If something genuinely unforeseen appears behind a wall, you hear about it before we touch it — not on the final invoice.

Residential strip out across Liverpool

Most of our residential work is Victorian and Edwardian terraces, 1930s semis and apartment conversions. Typical scope is kitchens and bathrooms out, floor coverings and underlay up, artex or damaged plasterboard ceilings down, stud partitions removed, dated built-ins and boxing stripped, and old carpets, doors and sanitaryware taken away. Landlords and buy-to-let investors usually add a full void clearance in the same visit.

In terraces we treat party walls as a priority. Vibration and noise travel, so we work in shorter, controlled bursts on shared walls, avoid early starts where neighbours are close, and knock on doors before a noisy day rather than after a complaint.

Commercial and retail strip out in the city

For commercial units — high-street shops, salons, barbers, cafés, boutique offices and clinics — we strip suspended ceilings, shopfittings, counters, partitions, floor finishes and redundant services back to a clean shell ready for the next fit-out. Where a unit is inside a managed building or centre we work to the landlord's method statement, insurance requirements and delivery windows, including out-of-hours and weekend slots where trading has to continue.

Waste, licences and paperwork

Everything leaves as segregated, licensed waste with duty-of-care transfer notes so you have a clean paper trail for your landlord, agent, insurer or building control. Where we identify anything we suspect is asbestos-containing, we stop, isolate the area and refer it to a licensed specialist — we never disturb suspected ACMs.

What handover looks like

The property is swept, clear and ready for the next trade. Services are left capped or safely terminated, walls and floors are exposed and workable, and nothing is left in the garden, yard or communal areas. Photographs are taken at completion so there's no argument later about the state we left it in.
